For participants travelling into Stroud, there are a range of places for you to stay. See below for a couple affordable options we've arranged, and a list of local hotels, B&Bs and pubs. Cheaper options are pretty limited so we advise booking soon.

The Festival is providing this space to help people connect but does not arrange, vet or endorse individual car-share arrangements. Lift-sharing is between the people involved and is at your own discretion.

Rooms available at Hill House – no rooms left!​

Hill House is an affordable, comfortable place to stay. There are 3x twins, 1x double, and one triple room in total. They are £50 per room, per night. We will allocate these on a first come first serve basis. The rooms are now all booked but if you would like to be on the waiting list, in case of cancellations, please contact accommodation@festival-of-commoning.org

Importantly, Hill House is about 3.5 miles from the main venues and there are no buses from Amberly to Stroud, so you would need to car share with other guests, bring your own car, or be up for a (beautiful!) hour's walk each way.

Affordable and cheery

If you’re travelling a little lighter or just need somewhere simple to recharge, we’ve got the perfect solution for you! The fantastic Trinity Rooms Community Hub is offering their main hall from 9pm to 8am on Friday night and Saturday night, perfect for rolling out a sleeping bag and mat after a day of commoning! There are wash basins and toilets and we should be able to find you a shower nearby. 

And if you’re wanting to be closer to nature, Common Soil Community Farm has offered their field for camping. There's a compost toilet and running water. ​​​​
