For participants travelling into Stroud, there are a range of places for you to stay. See below for a couple affordable options we've arranged, and a list of local hotels, B&Bs and pubs. Cheaper options are pretty limited so we advise booking soon.
Rooms available at Hill House – register interest before 20 July!
We have provisionally booked Hill House for festival participants wanting an affordable, comfortable place to stay. There are 3x twins, 1x double, and one triple room available. They range between £25 and £30 per night. We will allocate these on a first come first serve basis.
Importantly, Hill House is about 3.5 miles from the main venues and there are no buses from Amberly to Stroud, so you would need to car share with other guests, bring your own car, or be up for a (beautiful!) hour's walk each way.
If you would like to stay here, please contact accommodation@festival-of-commoning.org as soon as possible, but no later than Monday 20 July otherwise we will have to cancel the block booking.
Affordable and cheery
If you’re travelling a little lighter or just need somewhere simple to recharge, we’ve got the perfect solution for you! The fantastic Trinity Rooms Community Hub is offering their main hall from 9pm to 8am on Friday night and Saturday night, perfect for rolling out a sleeping bag and mat after a day of commoning! There are wash basins and toilets and we should be able to find you a shower nearby.
And if you’re wanting to be closer to nature, Common Soil Community Farm has offered their field for camping. There's a compost toilet and running water.
We will post a sign-up form for Trinity Rooms or Common Soil in July.
