Terms & Conditions

1. About Us

Festival of Commoning is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit event and ticket income is used to cover upfront costs 

By purchasing a ticket, you are supporting the sustainability of the event, even in unforeseen circumstances and you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Tickets & Entry

  • All attendees must hold a valid ticket.

  • Tickets may be checked on entry; please bring confirmation/ID if requested.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove attendees for unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.

  • The Festival will be held across two venues. One of the venues has limited capacity and admittance will be on a first come, first served basis. In the event that demand exceeds capacity, ticket holders will be directed to the second venue.

3. Refunds & Transfers

  • Ticket holders who can no longer attend the event, may transfer their tickets to another person

  • Ticket holders who can no longer attend the event, may request that their ticket be offered for resale up to 2 weeks before the event.

  • Where a ticket is successfully resold, the original ticket holder will receive a refund of the ticket price, excluding any non-refundable fees.

  • Resale is not guaranteed, and no refund will be issued unless the ticket is resold.

 

4. Cancellation, Changes & Force Majeure

We may need to change or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to): extreme weather, illness, venue issues, government restrictions, or other unforeseen events.

If this happens:

  • We will aim to reschedule the event, and your ticket will remain valid.

  • If rescheduling is not possible, we may offer credit or ticket transfer to a future event.

  • Refunds are not guaranteed in these circumstances and will only be offered where financially viable after essential costs have been covered.

5. Programme Changes

We may need to change speakers, sessions, or timings. This does not entitle ticket holders to a refund.

6. Attendee Conduct

We are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive environment.

  • Harassment, discrimination, or harmful behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Anyone behaving inappropriately may be asked to leave without refund.

7. Liability

  • Attendance is at your own risk.

  • We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

8. Photography & Media

  • The event may be photographed or recorded.

  • By attending, you consent to being included in images or recordings used for promotional purposes.

  • If you have concerns, please speak to a member of the team

9. Data Protection

  • We will only use your personal data for event administration and communication.

  • We will not share your data with third parties without your consent, except where necessary to deliver the event.

10. Accessibility

  • We aim to make the event as accessible as possible.

  • Please contact us in advance with any access requirements.

11. General

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • We may update these Terms where necessary; the latest version will apply.
